NUSW condemns repressive practices against Sahrawi women in occupied territories of Western Sahara


Shaheed El-Hafed, July 9, 2018 (SPS) - The National Union of Sahrawi Women (NUSW) condemned on Monday the repressive practices against Sahrawi women in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, especially during the recent visit of the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Horst Koehler.

In a statement, NUSW condemned the continued oppression by the Moroccan occupation forces against the Saharawi population in the occupied territories and southern Morocco as well as besieging the houses of Saharawis in an attempt to prevent them from peaceful demonstration in conjunction with the visit of Mr. Koehler.

It expressed its full solidarity with all the Sahrawi masses in the occupied territories, southern Morocco and the university sites, reiterating its full support for the heroes of the Independence Intifada

NUSW announced solidarity with all Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan prisons, calling for their immediate and unconditional release, expressing its solidarity with the families of martyrs of the blessed independence uprising. (SPS)
